Modernization & Automation
Each completed template job is tagged with a complexity level. A PIC's Skill Index is the weighted average of all their completed jobs — higher levels carry more weight. Use the table below to understand what each tier means.
| Level | Classification | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Junior / Basic | Basic marking operations. |
| Level 2 | Intermediate | Double-layer attachment construction, quilting, tacking construction, and embellishment stitching. |
| Level 3 | Advanced | Pocket opening construction, or combined quilting with pocket opening. |
| Level 4 | Expert | Multi-layer attachment construction, combining more than two operations. |
| Level 5 | Expert+ | Combination of more than three operations, including machine modification and programming. |
Skill Index is calculated as a weighted average of completed job complexity levels. A PIC is considered Advanced when their Skill Index reaches 2.6 or above, meaning they regularly handle Level 3+ jobs such as pocket openings or combined quilting operations. Reaching Expert (3.6+) requires consistent delivery of multi-operation and machine-level work.
